It is Independence Day in Venezuela, Cape Verde, and Algeria.

    Thanks Deano your comment on Polly's thread was very much to the point as well.

    I suppose you have to expect an co-ordinated attack from the tax payers association though. But what do you expect from a group so in cahoots with international finance and their er 'creative' financial instruments.

    Well that's good news - when we were out walking this morning I thought that the fields of barley had that golden just ready look about them.

    Lo and behold the combines are out this evening and the harvest is thus just starting up here in Yorks. So it's looking good for next years beer - I always feel a sense of relief when they start cutting the barley.
